  7. Optionally, enter a Fixed Distance to override the calculated distance
  8. Optionally, enter a Fixed Cost to set a standard price for this route
  9. Configure aircraft types:
    • Leave All types checked to apply this route to any aircraft, or

  10. Optionally, click the Waypoints dropdown to enter ATC waypoints
  11. Optionally, click the Fees dropdown to add route-specific fees

3.2 Edit an existing route

When to use this

Update route details when pricing changes, waypoints are refined, or aircraft assignments need adjustment.

Steps
  1. Find the route in the table (use search if needed)
  2. Click the blue Edit button (pencil icon) in the route's row
  3. The route editing window opens showing only that route
  4. Modify any fields as needed

3.3 Copy routes

When to use this

Quickly create return routes or variations of existing routes without re-entering all details.

Steps

The route editing window appears when adding or editing routes. It displays a table where each row represents a route.

  • To: Arrival airport (searchable dropdown)
Optional fields
  • Fixed Distance: Override calculated distance

Copy buttons

Two copy buttons appear in each row when managing all routes:

  • Direct copy: Duplicates the route exactly as configured
  • Reverse copy: Creates a return route by swapping the departure and arrival airports

4.3 Great circle distance vs fixed distance

Routes automatically calculate the great circle distance (shortest path on a sphere) between departure and arrival airports.

The distance shown in the routes table is always the value used for cost calculations—fixed distance if set, otherwise great circle distance.

4.4 Route-specific fees

Routes can include pre-configured fees that automatically apply when the route is used in a quote. Common fee types include:

  • Overflight charges for specific countries or airspace
  • Navigation service fees
  • Standard handling charges for specific airports
  • Route-specific permits or authorisation costs

Fees are managed through the Fees button in the route editing window. Each fee can have a name, amount, currency, and description.
