Airport Services & Fees

Manage airport-specific fees, handling services, and fuelling providers for operational cost planning.

Configure and maintain detailed fee structures, handler information, and fuel provider details for each airport in your network.

1 What's on this page

The Airport Services & Fees page serves as the central hub for managing all cost and service information associated with airports in your network. This page allows you to maintain fee structures, handler relationships, and fuelling provider details that drive accurate quotations and operational planning.

Airport Fees

Configure airport-specific fees such as landing, parking, navigation, and other charges. Fees can be structured by aircraft MAUW (Maximum Authorised Unloaded Weight) with different pricing tiers, currencies, and units of measure.

Handler Services

Manage ground handling service providers and their fees for each airport. Define handler contact information, general terms, and service-specific pricing structures.

Fuelling Providers

Track fuel suppliers available at each airport, including contact details and service arrangements for operational planning.

Fee Documents

Upload and maintain supporting documentation for airport fees and handling charges, such as official fee schedules and rate cards.

Key concepts
  • MAUW (Maximum Authorised Unloaded Weight): Aircraft weight category used to tier fee structures. Many airport fees vary based on the aircraft's MAUW, with different rates applying to different weight ranges.
  • Fee types: Standardised categories of airport charges (e.g., Landing, Parking, Navigation) that can be configured in Settings. Each fee type defines how the charge is calculated.
  • Price per unit: Fees can be charged per item (flat fee) or per unit of measure (e.g., per kilogram, per tonne) depending on the fee type configuration.

2 Managing the airport list

The main view displays a searchable, sortable table of all airports that have been added to the services and fees system. This is your starting point for configuring fees, handlers, and fuel providers for each airport.

2.1 Search and filter

Use the search box (top-left) to quickly find airports. The search applies to:

  • IATA code
  • ICAO code
  • Airport name (full or short)
  • Display code

Search results update as you type (with a short delay to reduce system load). An information icon next to the search box displays the searchable fields.

The filter area below the search allows you to filter airports by country. Select one or more countries from the dropdown to narrow the list.

2.2 Airport table columns

Column Meaning Sortable Notes
IATA Three-letter IATA airport code Yes Click the column header to sort
ICAO Four-letter ICAO airport code Yes Click the column header to sort
Full name Complete official airport name Yes Click the column header to sort
Short name Abbreviated airport name for compact display Yes Click the column header to sort
Display code Preferred code for system display (may be IATA, ICAO, or custom) Yes Shows "N/A" if not configured
Airport fees Action buttons to manage airport-specific fees No Green button indicates fees are configured; blue indicates none yet. Includes button to copy fees from another airport.
Handlers Button to manage ground handling services and fees No Opens handler configuration view
Fuelling providers Button to manage fuel supplier information No Opens fuelling provider configuration view
Fee documents Upload and view supporting documents for fees and handling charges No Green button indicates documents are uploaded; blue indicates none yet
Delete Remove airport from the services and fees list No Does not delete the airport itself, only removes it from this list

Click any sortable column header to sort the table by that field. Click again to reverse the sort order. A small arrow icon indicates the active sort column and direction.

2.3 Add an airport to the list

Click Add airport to list (top-right) to add an airport to the services and fees system. A window opens with airport lookup functionality.

Steps:
  1. Search for the airport by name, IATA code, or ICAO code in the search field
  2. Select the airport from the search results
  3. Click Save & return to add the airport and close the window, or Save to add the airport and keep the window open to add more

Result: The airport appears in the main table. You can now configure fees, handlers, and fuelling providers for this airport.

2.4 Delete an airport from the list

Click the red trash button in the Delete column to remove an airport from the services and fees list. A confirmation window appears.

Warning: Deleting an airport from this list removes all associated fees, handler configurations, and fuelling provider assignments. The airport itself remains in the system, but all services and fees data for that airport is lost.

Review the confirmation message carefully before proceeding. Click Confirm to delete, or Cancel to abort.

2.5 Pagination

If the filtered airport list contains more than 15 airports, pagination controls appear at the bottom of the table. Use the page numbers or arrow buttons to navigate through pages. The number of items per page can be adjusted using the "Items per page" dropdown in the filter area (appears when 16 or more airports match your filters).

3 Configuring airport fees

Click the plane icon button in the Airport fees column to configure fee structures for a specific airport. The page transitions to the Airport Fees view, displaying a form with all configured fee types for that airport.

3.1 Airport fees view layout

The Airport Fees view displays a header showing the airport name and code, with Save and Cancel buttons at the top. Below the header, each configured fee type appears as a separate card in a two-column grid layout.

Each fee card includes:

  • The fee type name as the card header
  • Edit button (pencil icon) to modify the fee structure
  • Delete button (trash icon) to remove the fee type from this airport
  • A table showing the current fee structure with MAUW ranges (if applicable) and prices

3.2 Add or edit a fee

To add a new fee type to the airport, click the Add new fee button that appears as a card in the fee grid. To edit an existing fee, click the edit button (pencil icon) on the fee's card. Either action opens a window with the fee configuration form.

Fee configuration fields:
  • Fee type: Select the type of fee (e.g., Landing, Parking, Navigation). The available options are configured in the Airport Fee Types settings.
  • Price is per [fee type] (no.): Enable this checkbox for a flat fee structure where the price is per occurrence of the fee type. When disabled, additional fields appear to select the unit of measure for the fee calculation.
  • Item's unit of measure: Appears when "Price is per" checkbox is disabled. First, optionally filter by quantity type (e.g., Mass, Volume), then select the specific unit (e.g., kilogram, tonne, litre).
  • Currency: Select the currency in which this fee is charged.
  • Split by MAUW: Enable this checkbox if the fee has different rates for different aircraft weight ranges. When enabled, additional fields appear to configure weight-based pricing tiers.
  • Weight unit of measure: Appears when "Split by MAUW" is enabled. Select the unit for measuring aircraft weight (e.g., kilograms, tonnes).
Working with MAUW ranges:

When "Split by MAUW" is enabled, the form displays a table where you can define weight ranges and their corresponding prices:

  • Each row represents a weight range (e.g., 0-5000 kg, 5001-10000 kg)
  • The "MAUW From" field defines the lower bound of each range
  • The last row shows "X+" to indicate "X and above" with no upper limit
  • Click Add row to create additional weight tiers
  • Click the trash icon on a row to remove that weight tier
  • The system automatically calculates range boundaries to ensure no gaps

Validation: The form validates that all required fields are filled and that weight ranges are logical. Error messages appear below fields that need correction.

Click Submit to save the fee configuration, or Cancel to discard changes and close the window.

3.3 Delete a fee type

Click the trash icon on a fee card to remove that fee type from the airport. The fee type itself remains available in settings; only the configuration for this specific airport is removed.

3.4 Copy fees from another airport

To quickly replicate an airport's fee structure to another airport, click the copy icon button in the Airport fees column on the main airport list. A window opens allowing you to select destination airports.

Steps:
  1. The source airport (the one you clicked copy on) is displayed at the top
  2. Select one or more destination airports from the available list
  3. Click Copy fees to apply the source airport's entire fee structure to the selected destinations

Result: All fee types, MAUW structures, and pricing from the source airport are replicated to the destination airports. Existing fees at destination airports are replaced.

3.5 Return to airport list

Click Save & return to save your changes and return to the main airport list, or Cancel & return to discard changes and return to the list.

4 Configuring handler services

Click the boxes icon button in the Handlers column to configure ground handling services for a specific airport. The page transitions to the Handler Services view, displaying all handlers assigned to that airport.

4.1 Handler services view layout

The Handler Services view displays a header showing the airport name and code, with Save and Cancel buttons at the top. Below the header, each configured handler appears as a collapsible card.

Each handler card can be expanded or collapsed using the chevron button. When expanded, the card displays two main sections: General Information and Service Fees.

4.2 Add a handler to the airport

To assign a handler to the airport, you'll need to select a handler from the available handlers list. Handlers are managed separately in the Handlers page under Services & Fees.

Once a handler is added to the airport, you can configure general information and service-specific fees for that handler at this airport.

4.3 General information

The General Information section allows you to capture key-value pairs of information about the handler at this specific airport, such as:

  • Payment terms (e.g., "Credit card accepted", "Account customer only")
  • Operating hours
  • Contact details specific to this airport location
  • Special requirements or notes
Managing general information rows:
  • Name: Enter a descriptive label (e.g., "Payment type", "Opening hours")
  • Value: Enter the corresponding information (e.g., "Credit card", "24/7")
  • Click Add row to create additional information fields
  • Click the trash icon to remove a row

This information appears in quotation documents and operational briefings.

4.4 Handler service fees

The Service Fees section displays fee tables for each handling service type that the handler provides at this airport. Common service types include passenger handling, aircraft cleaning, water service, lavatory service, and GPU (ground power unit).

Fee structure:

Similar to airport fees, handler service fees can be configured with or without MAUW-based pricing:

  • Flat fee: A single price applies regardless of aircraft size
  • MAUW-based: Different prices apply to different aircraft weight ranges
Add or edit a service fee:

Click the edit button on a service card to modify the fee structure. The window that opens is similar to the airport fees window, allowing you to configure:

  • Service type
  • Currency
  • MAUW split configuration (if applicable)
  • Price per unit or per item

The configuration process follows the same pattern as airport fees, including MAUW range management and validation.

4.5 Remove a handler from the airport

Click the trash button in the handler card header to remove that handler from the airport. All general information and service fees for that handler at this airport are deleted. The handler itself remains in the system and can be assigned to other airports.

4.6 Return to airport list

Click Save & return to save your changes and return to the main airport list, or Cancel & return to discard changes and return to the list.

5 Configuring fuelling providers

Click the fuel truck icon button in the Fuelling providers column to manage fuel supplier information for a specific airport. The page transitions to the Fuelling Providers view.

5.1 Fuelling providers view layout

The Fuelling Providers view displays a header showing the airport name and code, with Save and Cancel buttons at the top. Below the header, you can assign fuelling providers to the airport and manage provider-specific details.

Unlike fees and handler services, fuelling provider information focuses on contact details and availability rather than pricing structures.

5.2 Add a fuelling provider

To assign a fuelling provider to the airport, select from the available providers list. Fuelling providers are managed separately in the Fuelling Providers page under Services & Fees.

Once added, you can record provider-specific information for this airport location, such as contact details, operating hours, and service notes.

5.3 Remove a fuelling provider

Click the trash button to remove a fuelling provider from the airport. The provider itself remains in the system and can be assigned to other airports.

5.4 Return to airport list

Click Save & return to save your changes and return to the main airport list, or Cancel & return to discard changes and return to the list.

6 Managing fee documents

Click the document icon button in the Fee documents column to upload and manage supporting documentation for airport fees and handling charges.

6.1 Upload documents

A window opens allowing you to upload documents related to airport fees or handling fees for the selected airport. Common document types include:

  • Official airport fee schedules
  • Handler rate cards
  • Contract agreements
  • Fee notification letters
  • Special terms and conditions
Steps to upload:
  1. Click Choose file or drag and drop a file into the upload area
  2. Select whether this is an airport fee document or handling fee document
  3. Add an optional description to identify the document
  4. Click Upload to save the document

Uploaded documents can be viewed or downloaded from the same window. Delete unwanted documents using the trash icon next to each file.

6.2 View documents

All documents uploaded for the airport appear in a list within the window. Click a document name to view or download it. The document icon button on the main airport table changes from blue to green when documents are uploaded, providing a visual indicator of documentation status.
