What's New
Catch up on the latest Musket improvements without leaving the app.
1 Overview
What's New is a signed-in release highlights feature that helps you keep up with new Musket capabilities and improvements. It opens a dedicated window with the latest published update article, including featured highlights, grouped update cards, and links to the relevant documentation pages.
What you see here
- Desktop access: A dedicated What's New button in the top navigation bar beside your user menu
- Mobile access: A What's New option inside the top-right account menu
- Release article: Featured highlights and grouped update cards for recent Musket changes
- Documentation links: Learn more links that open the related docs in a new tab
Key concepts
- Unread highlight: Musket highlights the feature when a newer published update is waiting for you
- Latest first: The newest published article opens first whenever you open the window
- Release browsing: If multiple update articles are available, you can switch between them from a dropdown
- Docs-first follow-up: Each article can link directly to the full manual for deeper guidance
2 Open the What's New window
- Sign in to Musket.
- On desktop, select What's New in the top navigation bar beside your user menu. When you have not yet opened the latest update, the button is highlighted to draw attention.
- On mobile, open the top-right account menu and select What's New. If the latest update is unread, the account button is highlighted and the menu entry shows a NEW badge.
- The What's New window opens with the most recent published release already selected.
Musket only shows this feature when at least one update article has been published for your system.
3 Read the latest update
The update window is designed as a visual release article, making it easy to scan major changes before opening the full manual.
- Header area: Shows the current release title and update branding
- Featured highlights: Larger spotlight cards for the most important changes in the release
- Grouped update cards: Smaller cards arranged by topic or module so you can skim quickly
- Learn more links: Open the related Musket Docs page in a new browser tab
- Footer link: Opens the full Musket Docs site in a new tab
4 Browse earlier release articles
If Musket has more than one published update article, a dropdown appears above the article body.
- Select any listed release to switch the article content.
- The latest published article remains the default selection when you reopen the window.
- This makes it easy to catch up on earlier releases without leaving the current page.
5 Unread highlights and read status
What's New helps you notice fresh updates without forcing you to search for them manually.
- If you have never opened What's New before, the latest published article is treated as unread.
- Opening the What's New window marks the current latest release as read for your account.
- After that, the highlight returns to its normal state until a newer release is published.
- When Musket publishes another update later, the unread highlight appears again so you know there is something new to review.
This means you can quickly tell whether you've already looked at the latest release notes.
