The page has two tabs at the top: Overview (active by default) and Graphs (for custom charts, currently hidden).
Content displayed varies based on your role and current duty status. All data is evaluated against your applicable regulations and duty limitations definitions.
2 Duties & Rest
The Duties & Rest card appears at the top of the page and displays your current duty period with a visual timeline. If you have an active or upcoming duty period, the card header shows the duty period start and end times in UTC. If you have no current duty period, the header shows "Duties & Rest".
Gantt Chart Visualisation
A horizontal Gantt chart displays your duty timeline for a 24-hour period centred on your current duty start time. The chart shows:
- Duty period bar: Coloured bar representing duty duration
- Local night periods: Shaded regions indicating local night
- Time axis: Hour markers in UTC showing the timeline
- Duty limits: Visual indicators for maximum duty and FDP limits
Duty Statistics
When you have a current duty period, key statistics appear below the Gantt chart:
- Total Duty Hours: Duration of the duty period (green badge)
- FDP Period: Flight Duty Period hours (flight crew only)
- Total Flight Hours: Sum of flight hours in this period (flight crew only)
- Max FDP Chart: Circular progress chart showing actual vs maximum FDP (flight crew only)
3 Alerts
The Alerts card sits to the right of the Duties & Rest card and displays system-generated notifications requiring your attention. The card is scrollable when multiple alerts are present.
Alerts displayed here are personalised to you and may include:
- Outstanding corrective actions assigned to you from audits or investigations
- Recency alerts for aircraft types you operate
- Document expiry warnings (licences, medicals, endorsements)
- Unread notifications requiring acknowledgement
- Pending approvals or actions specific to your duties
Each alert typically includes:
- Alert description: A brief summary of the item requiring attention
- Visual indicator: Colour-coded badge or icon showing urgency (red for overdue, amber for due soon, green for current)
- Action link: A button or link to navigate to the relevant page where you can address the alert
The Alerts card uses the same alert component as the main Dashboard, ensuring consistency across both views.
4 Max Flight Hours (Flight Crew)
This section appears only for flight crew and displays charts tracking your cumulative flight hours against regulatory maximum flight hours rules. The section header shows "Max. Flight Hours" followed by the evaluation timestamp.
Flight hours charts
Multiple circular progress charts appear, each representing a different time period from your applicable regulations:
- Consecutive Days: Flight hours over the most recent consecutive days (e.g., 7 consecutive days, 14 consecutive days)
- Calendar Periods: Flight hours over calendar months, quarters, or years
- Rolling Periods: Flight hours over rolling 28-day, 90-day, or 365-day windows
Each chart displays:
- Period label: The time period covered (e.g., "7 consecutive days", "Calendar month")
- Actual hours: Your accumulated flight hours for that period
- Maximum hours: The regulatory limit for that period
- Percentage fill: A circular progress indicator showing how close you are to the limit
- Colour coding: Green when well within limits, amber when approaching limits, red when at or exceeding limits
The charts are calculated relative to your current duty period's end time (or current UTC time if no active duty).
The specific rules displayed depend on your applicable regulations as defined by your organisation's Standard Duty Limitations Definition. Charts are arranged in a responsive grid that adapts to screen size.
5 Rest Evaluation (Flight Crew)
This section appears only for flight crew when you have a current duty period, and displays analysis of your preceding rest period. The section header shows "Rest Evaluation" followed by the evaluation timestamp.
Preceding rest statistics
The top portion shows key metrics about the rest period immediately before your current duty:
- Rest duration: Total hours of rest before this duty
- Local night hours: Hours of rest that fell within local night periods
- Off days included: Whether the rest period included any off days
- Rest quality indicators: Visual indicators showing whether the rest met minimum requirements
Minimum rest requirements table
When your current duty period includes an FDP, a table displays the evaluation of minimum rest requirements. The table shows:
- Requirement name: The specific rest rule being evaluated (e.g., "Minimum 12 hours local night rest", "Minimum rest period duration")
- Required value: The minimum required by regulations
- Actual value: What you actually received
- Status indicator: Visual confirmation of compliance (green tick for compliant, red cross for non-compliant)
This table helps you verify that your preceding rest met all applicable requirements before commencing the current FDP.
Rest evaluation uses your organisation's Local Night Definition and Standard Duty Limitations Definition to calculate requirements. All times reference the duty period start and end times.
6 Max Duty Hours
This section displays charts tracking your cumulative duty hours against standard duty limitations. It appears for all users (both flight crew and non-flight crew). The section header shows "Max. Duty Hours" followed by the evaluation timestamp.
Duty hours charts
Multiple circular progress charts appear, each representing a different time period from your applicable standard duty limitations:
- Consecutive Days: Duty hours over consecutive days (e.g., 7 days, 14 days, 28 days)
- Calendar Periods: Duty hours over calendar months, quarters, or years
Each chart displays:
- Period label: The time period covered
- Actual hours: Your accumulated duty hours for that period
- Maximum hours: The organisational or regulatory limit
- Percentage fill: A circular progress indicator
- Colour coding: Green, amber, or red based on proximity to limits
The specific rules displayed depend on your user profile and your organisation's Standard Duty Limitations Definition. These limits differ from flight-specific limits and apply to all duty types.
7 Max Non-flight Duty Hours (Flight Crew)
This section appears only for flight crew and tracks non-flight duty hours against regulatory limits. Non-flight duty includes ground duties, training, administrative work, and other non-flying activities. The section header shows "Max. Non-flight Duty Hours" followed by the evaluation timestamp.
Non-flight duty charts
Similar to flight hours charts, multiple circular progress charts display your non-flight duty accumulation over various periods defined in your organisation's Non-Flight Duty Limitations Definition:
- Period label: Time period covered (e.g., "7 consecutive days")
- Actual hours: Accumulated non-flight duty hours
- Maximum hours: The regulatory limit for non-flight duty in that period
- Percentage fill and colour coding: Visual indication of compliance status
These limits help ensure flight crew maintain adequate rest between non-flight duties. The charts are calculated relative to your current duty period's end time or current UTC time.
8 Off Day Evaluation
This section appears when your organisation has defined Off Day rules that apply to your user profile. Off days are complete 24-hour periods free from duty. The section header shows "Off Day Evaluation" followed by the evaluation timestamp.
Off day rules list
A list displays each applicable off day rule with its evaluation:
- Rule description: The requirement (e.g., "2 off days in 7 consecutive days", "4 off days in 28 consecutive days")
- Actual vs required: Number of off days you've had versus the required number
- Chart or indicator: Visual representation showing compliance status
- Colour coding: Green for compliant, amber for approaching requirement, red for non-compliant
Off days are calculated based on your organisation's Off Day Definition and Local Night Definition. An off day typically requires both:
- A full 24-hour period free from duty
- Inclusion of a local night period within that 24-hour window
Off day requirements vary by organisation and role. If you see this section, your organisation has defined specific off day requirements for your user type.
9 Flight Experience Summary (Flight Crew)
This section appears only for flight crew who have aircraft endorsements. It provides a detailed table of your flight experience with filtering and export capabilities.
Filter Controls
Select a time period for your experience summary:
- Period selection: Predefined periods (Last 30 days, Last 90 days, etc.) or custom date ranges
- Apply filter: Updates the table with flight data for the selected period
Experience Data
The table displays experience broken down by:
- Aircraft type or class (grouped by endorsements)
- Flight hours (PIC, co-pilot, other positions)
- Landings (day and night)
- Sectors completed
- Role breakdown (Captain, First Officer, etc.)
Export to PDF
Generate a PDF report of your flight experience:
- Button at bottom right generates PDF
- Filename includes your name and date

The Flight Experience Summary uses actual flight data from your completed flights. It's updated in real-time as new post-flight actuals are recorded.
10 Operational Recency (Flight Crew)
This section appears only for flight crew who have aircraft endorsements and when your organisation has defined recency requirements in regulations. It displays your current operational recency status for each endorsed aircraft type. The section header shows "Operational Recency" followed by the evaluation timestamp.
Recency status table
A table displays your recency status with columns including:
- Aircraft type/class: The aircraft you're endorsed on
- Recency requirement: The specific recency rule being evaluated (e.g., "3 takeoffs and landings in 90 days", "Flight hours in last 6 months")
- Status: Current compliance status with colour-coded badges:
- Current (green): You meet the recency requirement
- Due Soon (amber): Recency is approaching expiry (typically within 30 days)
- Required (orange): Recency has lapsed but you may still operate with restrictions (check your organisation's procedures)
- Expired (red): Recency has fully expired; you cannot operate this aircraft type until recency is regained
- Last qualifying activity: Date of your most recent flight or activity that counts toward this recency requirement
- Valid until: The expiry date of this recency requirement based on your last qualifying activity
Multiple recency types
An aircraft type may have multiple recency requirements, such as:
- Takeoff and landing recency for FDC (Flight Deck Crew)
- Flight hour recency for specific aircraft classes
- Route or airfield-specific recency
- Instructor or examiner recency (if you hold these qualifications)
Each requirement appears as a separate row in the table. You must maintain all applicable recency requirements to operate that aircraft type.
Reference date
Recency is evaluated at a specific reference date/time, typically:
- The start time of your current FDP (if you have one active), or
- The current UTC time (if no active FDP)
This ensures you can verify your recency status before or during a duty period.
Operational recency is distinct from licence validity and endorsement validity. All three must be current to legally operate an aircraft. For detailed recency definitions and qualification rules, your organisation's regulations and recency definitions apply.

13 Troubleshooting and FAQs
Why don't I see flight crew sections (FDP, Rest, Flight Hours)?
These sections appear only if:
- Your user profile is set to a flight crew type (Pilot, Co-pilot, Flight Attendant, etc.)
- You have aircraft endorsements assigned
- Your organisation has configured flight crew regulations
If you are flight crew but don't see these sections, contact your administrator to verify your user profile and endorsements.
Why is my current duty period not showing?
The Duties & Rest card shows your current duty period only if:
- You have signed on to a duty period that overlaps the current time
- You have an upcoming duty period starting within the next few hours
- You have a past duty period from the last 48 hours (used for recent evaluation)
If none of these conditions apply, the card shows a generic "Duties & Rest" header and no Gantt chart. This is normal when you're not on duty.
Why do some charts show red when I haven't exceeded limits?
Charts use predictive colour coding. A chart may show amber or red if:
- You're close to a limit (e.g., 80% or more of maximum hours)
- Your current duty, if completed as scheduled, would exceed a limit
- You've already exceeded a limit in the evaluated period
Always check the actual vs maximum values displayed on each chart to understand your exact status.
Why is the Flight Experience Summary empty?
The table will be empty if:
- You have no completed flights with post-flight actuals recorded
- The selected date range contains no flights
- Your flights don't have actual times recorded yet
Flight experience is calculated only from flights with recorded post-flight actuals. If you've flown but don't see experience, ensure post-flight actuals have been captured in the system.
Why is the PDF export button disabled or not working?
The PDF export button may be disabled if:
- The Flight Experience Summary table is empty (no data to export)
- A PDF is already being generated (button shows "Generating..." or a loading indicator)
- You don't have the required permissions to generate reports
Wait for any existing generation to complete, or try adjusting your date filter to include a period where you have flight data.
How do I know which regulations apply to me?
The charts and evaluations displayed use:
- Standard Duty Limitations Definition: Configured by your organisation for all staff
- Non-Flight Duty Limitations Definition: Configured for flight crew
- Off Day Definition: Configured by your organisation
- Regulations: Specific regulatory frameworks (e.g., EASA, FAA, CAA) assigned to your user profile or aircraft endorsements
Your administrator configures these definitions. If you're unsure which regulations you're operating under, contact your operations manager or administrator.
Why does the page take a long time to load?
The Personal Dashboard performs extensive calculations including:
- Duty period analysis for multiple time periods
- Flight hour accumulation over rolling and calendar periods
- Rest period evaluations
- Recency calculations for all endorsed aircraft types
- Flight experience summaries
Initial load may take 5-15 seconds depending on:
- How many duty periods you have recorded
- How many flights you've completed
- How many aircraft types you're endorsed on
- Your organisation's configured regulations and rules
This is normal. The system is ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
